Residential Battery Storage Projects
Residential Battery Projects
Project Brief
Dawnice has successfully installed three 16kWh batteries paired with Sol-Ark inverters for a residential customer in Puerto Rico. This state-of-the-art energy storage solution provides reliable power, reduces energy costs, and ensures a stable energy supply, even during grid outages or natural disasters.

Background
Puerto Rico, an island prone to hurricanes and power disruptions, faces challenges with unreliable grid power and frequent outages. With this installation, Dawnice is helping homeowners in Puerto Rico achieve greater energy security and independence. By pairing three 16kWh batteries with Sol-Ark inverters, this system allows the customer to store excess solar energy, use it during power outages, and reduce reliance on the grid, improving energy resilience and reliability.
Project Highlights
-
3 x 16kWh Batteries + Sol-Ark Inverter
This energy storage solution includes three 16kWh batteries, designed to store surplus energy generated from renewable sources like solar panels. The Sol-Ark inverter ensures smooth conversion from DC to AC, allowing the household to use the stored energy seamlessly. -
Reliable Backup Power During Outages
With Puerto Rico’s frequent grid outages, especially during hurricane seasons, this system ensures a reliable backup power supply. The batteries provide energy for essential household appliances, including lighting, refrigeration, and medical devices, during grid failures. -
Cost-Effective and Energy Efficient
By storing excess solar energy generated during the day, this system allows homeowners to use the energy at night or during peak demand hours, optimizing energy usage and reducing electricity costs. -
Sustainable and Resilient Energy Solution
The installation supports Puerto Rico’s transition to sustainable energy by reducing reliance on fossil fuels and lowering carbon emissions. It also enhances the customer’s resilience to power interruptions, contributing to a more sustainable energy future for the island. -
Scalable for Future Energy Needs
The system is scalable, allowing for easy expansion to accommodate future energy needs. Whether the customer adds more solar panels or requires more storage, the system is flexible to meet growing demand.
