By combining a modular 64kWh Dawnice Rack-Mounted Lithium Battery system with a robust 50kW Deye Three-Phase Hybrid Inverter, we have delivered a reliable “energy heartbeat” for a local business, ensuring total operational continuity.

Background
In the Kenyan market, businesses often struggle with high peak-time electricity tariffs and occasional grid instability that can halt production. Our client required a system that could bridge the gap during power outages and reduce demand charges without the noise and high fuel costs of a traditional diesel generator. The 64kWh configuration was selected as the “sweet spot” to balance high discharge rates with cost-effective storage.

Optimized 64kWh Storage: The Dawnice LiFePO4 rack system provides 64kWh of high-density energy storage. Its modular, “simple rack” design allows for superior airflow and cooling—essential for maintaining battery health in warmer climates—while offering a compact footprint.

Heavy-Duty 50kW Conversion: The Deye 50kW Hybrid Inverter serves as the system’s brain. It is uniquely capable of managing heavy inductive loads (like motors and compressors) while seamlessly integrating solar, grid, and battery power.

Precision Peak Shaving: The system is programmed to “shave” the building’s peak power usage. By discharging the 64kWh reserve during the most expensive times of the day, the business significantly lowers its monthly utility bills and achieves a faster ROI.

Generator Integration: One of the standout features of the Deye inverter is its dedicated diesel generator port. In the event of a prolonged grid failure, the system can automatically start a generator to recharge the batteries, ensuring the business never goes dark.
