Project Brief
Dawnice has successfully landed and entered the pre-commissioning phase for a mega-scale 1MW/2MWh Containerized Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Solar-Storage Microgrid Project in the Netherlands. This turn-key solution integrates two 500kW Megarevo Power Conversion Systems (PCS) working in parallel alongside 10 high-voltage modular battery clusters. Currently undergoing final onsite wiring and civil construction coordination, the project will unlock high-capacity peak-shaving, load-shifting, and maximized local solar consumption for the corporate industrial park upon commercial operation.


Background
As a frontrunner in Europe’s carbon-neutral initiative, the Netherlands enforces strict carbon footprint standards and volatile time-of-use tariffs on industrial enterprises. Businesses constantly grapple with strict grid capacity limits and inflated peak demand invoices. To break through these utility limitations and leverage the abundant solar potential of the facility’s expansive rooftops, the client partnered with Dawnice to install a megawatt-level containerized ESS. This grid-tied architecture creates a highly independent microgrid ecosystem designed to capture free solar, hedge against market spikes, and secure steady plant operations.

This self-contained layout neatly packs power routing, climate control, fire suppression, and grid-interface systems, fully complying with strict Dutch industrial machinery standards.

Dual Megarevo 500kW PCS Parallel Cluster for High Reliability The heart of the power conversion system features two 500kW Megarevo industrial grid-tied inverters synced in a parallel setup. This multi-inverter approach not only handles 1MW massive power throughput but also adds active dual-machine redundancy—guaranteeing uninterrupted factory backing even if one module undergoes scheduled servicing.

10 Modular High-Voltage Clusters with Smart Local EMS Control The specialized battery compartment houses 10 symmetrical high-voltage battery clusters. Governed by a responsive localized EMS with an integrated touchscreen HMI display, operators maintain real-time tracking over cluster voltage, thermal metrics, and SOC, effortlessly automating “low-tariff charging and peak-demand discharging.”

IP54 Weatherproof Enclosure with Front-to-Rear Active Thermal Flow Engineered to withstand shifting Western European maritime weather, the enclosure boasts a high IP54 rating. It utilizes an optimized “front louvers intake, rear multi-axial exhaust fans” cooling design. This layout delivers targeted thermal management for the PCS and battery compartments while shielding internal components from dirt, wind, and rain.

Multi-Tiered Linked Active Fire Suppression for Ultimate Safety To align with premium Dutch localized structural safety codes, the container is armed with an independent master fire control panel. Through multi-stage smoke and thermal sensor linking, the infrastructure deploys proactive containment and automated circuit isolation, guaranteeing maximum security for the surrounding commercial park assets.
