Commercial Battery Storage Projects
C&I BESS Projects
Project Brief
Dawnice has successfully deployed and commissioned a 400kW/800kWh Commercial & Industrial (C&I) microgrid storage project in Israel. The setup consists of 4 units of Dawnice 100kW/200kWh All-In-One ESS cabinets, powered by the high-voltage HZEB-ESS100P-200 battery system . Operating under an innovative hybrid business model, 1 unit is dedicated to powering the localized factory for peak shaving, while the other 3 units are integrated with the national grid to generate high-yield revenue via dynamic energy arbitrage (power selling).

Background
Located in the sun-drenched Middle East, Israel boasts abundant solar resources, yet its commercial sectors face high peak-to-valley tariff gaps and heavy grid strain during peak summer seasons. To optimize energy self-sufficiency and establish a lucrative alternative revenue stream, this local industrial client partnered with Dawnice to install a 4-cabinet parallel storage cluster. By splitting the operations between behind-the-meter factory support and front-of-the-meter grid trading, the client turned their storage infrastructure into a highly rewarding power asset.
Project Highlights
-
4-Unit Modular Configuration with Innovative “1+3” Hybrid Operations
Leveraging Dawnice’s exceptional parallel scalability and independent management controls, the 4-cabinet cluster is intelligently split for maximum economic return:
-
1 Unit (100kW/200kWh): Connected behind-the-meter to smooth localized factory load curves and slash premium daytime capacity tariffs.
-
3 Units (300kW/600kWh): Dedicated front-of-the-meter as a distributed power station, selling stored electricity during peak hours to maximize market returns.
-
-
Premium Reliability via HZEB-ESS100P-200 Battery Systems
The site utilizes high-density 280Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) cells arranged in a 1P224S structure with a rated DC voltage of 716.8V. Boasting an outstanding lifecycle of $\ge 6000$ cycles (@25°C, 0.5C, 90% DOD), the 4 units are engineered to deliver a combined lifetime discharge energy of over 1,289MWh, cementing long-term financial returns.
-
Plug-and-Play Integration Resilient to Harsh Climates
Middle Eastern operational sites demand rugged structural protection against searing heat and ambient dust. Dawnice’s IP54 outdoor cabinets tightly encapsulate the power conversion system (PCS), premium lithium modules, intelligent thermal cooling, and safety safety controls. Factory-preconfigured, they enable effortless onsite wiring and rapid commissioning.
-
Automated Asset Optimization with Proprietary EMS & Cloud Platform
Governed by an advanced built-in EMS and paired with the Dawnice Cloud Platform, operators can remotely monitor the synchronized 4-cabinet cluster. The system syncs automatically with Israel’s real-time tariff matrix, deploying adaptive “low-rate charging and peak-rate grid discharging” algorithms seamlessly.
-
Fast Payback and Outstanding Projected ROI
Driven by the dual economic benefits of localized factory cost reduction and large-scale power trading, the project yields a shortened payback period estimated at 5 to 6 years. It serves as a stellar blueprint for sustainable, profit-driven corporate microgrids across Israel and the Middle East.
