Commercial Battery Storage Projects
C&I BESS Projects
Project Brief
Dawnice has successfully deployed and commissioned a 100kW/200kWh Commercial & Industrial (C&I) All-In-One Energy Storage System (ESS) in Finland. This project flawlessly integrates Dawnice’s high-performance lithium battery technology with the client’s pre-existing rooftop solar panels. Featuring a highly integrated, self-contained architecture, the system enables smart tariff arbitrage, maximizes PV self-consumption, and secures power reliability for the factory under volatile weather conditions, earning glowing feedback from the end-user.

Background
Finland’s unpredictable weather and increasingly volatile commercial electricity tariffs present severe cost challenges for local manufacturing businesses. Although factory owner Linda Soijarvi had previously installed rooftop solar panels, surplus green energy generated during peak daytime hours was often wasted due to a lack of storage infrastructure. To slash soaring electricity bills and safeguard operations against grid instability, the client partnered with Dawnice to implement an intelligent energy storage solution.
Project Highlights
-
100kW/200kWh Highly Integrated All-In-One Scheme The project features the Dawnice HZEB-ESS100P-200 cabinet, which neatly houses long-lifecycle LiFePO4 batteries, a power conversion system (PCS), and smart thermal management. This compact, plug-and-play footprint drastically streamlined onsite installation in Finland’s cold climate.
-
Smart Grid Interaction & Lucrative Tariff Arbitrage Leveraging Finland’s fluctuating electricity market, the system delivers remarkable financial returns. When grid prices spike, the factory sells stored green energy back to the grid to generate revenue; when grid rates drop to their lowest, the system charges back up to 100%, mastering “low-cost charging and high-value discharging.”
-
100% Capturing Surplus Solar for Maximum Self-Sufficiency The ESS continuously monitors and captures all surplus power generated by the rooftop solar array during peak hours. Instead of bleeding power back into the grid for minimal returns, the factory now hoards its own clean energy to power operations during non-sunlight hours.
-
Climate-Resilient Design for Continuous Operations Engineered to withstand Finland’s harsh and changing winter environments, the Dawnice ESS maintains superior low-temperature performance. It functions as a robust industrial UPS, shielding critical factory manufacturing lines from grid fluctuations or localized outages.

Outstanding Client Testimonial: “Nothing Bad to Say!” Following firsthand operation of the system, factory owner Linda shared her high satisfaction, stating: “It is very good for us… we have nothing bad to say about it!” This real-world praise highlights Dawnice’s exceptional product reliability and engineering excellence.
